Taylor Sheridan’s contribution to the Film and TV industry as an American screenwriter, director and actor has made him a true trailblazer in his field displaying leadership and service to his community.
He began his career acting in recurring roles in television series like Veronica Mars, Walker, Texas Ranger and most notably, as David Hale in Sons of Anarchy. Sheridan has written several films, including the screenplay for Sicario (2015), for which he was nominated for the Writers Guild of America Award for Best Original Screenplay. He was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for Hell or High Water 2016), which was nominated for four Oscars, including Best Picture. Sheridan also wrote and directed the 2017 crime film Wind River and wrote the 2018 sequel to Sicario. He is a co-creator of the Paramount Network television series Yellowstone, the Kevin Costner-led series, which has amassed fan bases around the world and provided Sheridan with a platform to shed light on a part of the country and lifestyle that he is intimately connected to having grown up in Texas. The success of this series has led to an overall deal with ViacomCBS leading to new series such as Y:1883 and Mayor of Kingston. Sheridan remains an avid equestrian and cowboy at heart.
